We had lunch here today, and it was excellent. The lady that took our order was very nice, the place was very clean, & the menu was displayed beautifully & creatively on a giant blackboard. My friend enjoyed a chicken sandwich and I had the BEST vegan bowl anywhere! We talked about why all the tables were not filled, and we both said at the same time: it must be the name. I would have not chosen to eat here if I did not ask the sisterhood chairlady at my Temple where they got the delicious wraps. My friend and I agreed that it should be called the Gourmet Grill, or Tasty Time.

there was no one sitting down when me n my boyfriend walked in, but i was told its more of a grab n go place. the cashier showed us the specials and i got the pina colada salad which was delicious! and he got the roast beef panini. the staff were very nice and welcoming! very nice vibe in the store. would reccommend

One of my friends a few weeks ago said let's stop ar the Pit Stop Massapequa here for a salad. I ordered the blackened chicken salad minus the pasta (I watch my carbs ) is to die for. I normally get a salads from large franchises but for less than $15 I enjoy this "made with care" salad. I have traveled from Queens to get this salad. The workers are kind and they remember me each time I come in. While enjoying my salad today (the owner or at least I think he is) sat down and spoke with me about his travels and gushed while he talked about his wife. The Pit Stop which is just that is not the fanciest place but they are full of heart - Thank you for making my short time while eating an enjoyable one. Blessings.

I've been coming here since I was a teenager. Pretty much every time I get the crispy chicken panini. It's great. Great bread, tasty chicken, fresh mozzarella, roasted peppers, and literally the only balsamic glaze I will eat. Literally the only balsamic I will eat. Anywhere else, I'll send back anything which has TOUCHED balsamic. Here I lick my fingers. And they always do the fries right--don't have to ask for well-done, they just do it. Manager and owner are very friendly, and they've occasionally done teacher/community worker appreciate days, where they give a discount. Even though it's counter service, they'll come out and take your tray away if they're not absurdly busy. Such a nice independent business.

I had lunch here 3 days last week. I visited my family, and The Pit Stop is within walking distance. The staff is friendly and working as hard as they can. However, lunch service can be a bit slow. We were there for over half an hour on Wednesday around 2:30 pm. I liked the cheese fries (however, I also wish they sold "small" fries, rather than only medium or large). I tried the clam chowder and it was delicious and very fresh. The clams were large and chewy. My uncle likes their burgers and hot dogs. Everything needed a little extra salt.
